The kit has a cast Hydrocal pit that has been patterned from a hand machined aluminium master. It has been cast directly to a 12mm piece of marine grade plywood.
 
The bridge has an etched nickel silver main frame with phosphor bronze cross bracing that cast polyurethane overlays are attached to. To help with assembly, we have included a set of Jigs.
 
All the bridge transoms, deck foot boards and all other associated details are also polyurethane castings. Cast brass wheels are fitted to the detailed outriggers casting to are set up to run around a pre bent code 55 ring rail. Rail for both the ring rail and deck are included with the kit.
 
Two single track abutments are included, and these locate accurately into the cast pit that allows simple 180-degree turn of the bridge.
 
A gearbox/motor combination will also be included along with components to assemble a simple 180-degree indexing of the bridge via micro switches and special arm. The motor/gearbox is mounted to a circular acrylic disk mounted to the underside of the base. The gearbox attached to a brass main shaft through a stepper motor fixed connector. An accurate 3D printed block in the center of the pit houses a two pin connector that connects to PCB within the bridge itself. It allows for easy removal of the bridge for servicing etc.
 
A detailed set of instruction will be included. Within this instruction set there is a detailed painting guide to help you bring the urethane casting to life so as to represent weathered timbers. 
 
We were also able to reproduce a prototypical sign that is preserved at the Dorrigo Railway Museum. This will be included with the kit.
